The client is a residential heating, cooling, and electrical contractor and authorized dealer for a major equipment brand, covering furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioning, water heaters, and a full range of electrical work, from panel upgrades and rewiring to EV chargers and generators. Its technicians serve homeowners across the suburbs of an Upper Midwest metro.
The Gadgetlesstech Approach
Building Topical Authority in Electrical Services
The client wanted to own the local electrical market, not just heating and cooling. Using our SEOS process, we built an electrical services cornerstone page and surrounded it with focused service pages: EV charger installation, circuit breaker repair, dedicated circuits, hot tub wiring, and whole-home rewiring.
Each page targets one buyer-intent keyword for its service area and links back to the cornerstone, so Google reads the site as a complete electrical resource instead of an HVAC company that also does some electrical work.
Result: #1 rankings grew from 12 to 19 between May and October 2026, a 58% increase.
Answering the Problems Homeowners Search First
Most service calls start with a search for a symptom. We wrote guides for the ones local homeowners run into most: a GFCI outlet that won’t reset, a circuit breaker that keeps tripping, an air conditioner that stops cooling in July.
We also built owned data that competitors can’t copy, including a 2026 AC replacement cost breakdown and a 2026 regional furnace reliability and cost report. Each guide leads to the matching service page, so a homeowner who arrives with a problem leaves with a booked appointment.
Earning Coverage Beyond Google
Search results aren’t the only place homeowners find a contractor. We turned seasonal moments into press releases, like cottonwood season clogging AC coils and the federal heat pump tax credits, giving local media and AI answer engines a reason to mention the company by name.
Real photos of the company’s own trucks, technicians, and installs run through the site in place of stock images, which builds trust with visitors before they ever call.
“They are incredibly honest, kind and professional. They will help guide you through your marketing efforts and help you determine what is best for your business, without just selling you on their products and services.”
