Law Firm SEO Case Study: How Gadgetlesstech Gave a Personal Injury Attorney a Distinct Identity in Google Search

Attorney explaining documents to a client

This law firm SEO case study follows a Connecticut personal injury attorney who has represented injured clients for more than 25 years. His biggest search problem wasn’t competition. It was his own last name: several unrelated attorneys with the same surname practice in the same market. Gadgetlesstech made sure Google, and the AI tools built on it, know exactly which attorney to recommend.

#1

Google result for the attorney’s own name

4.9

Average rating across 88 Google reviews

Before Gadgetlesstech

  • Four unrelated attorneys sharing the same surname in one market, putting the firm at risk of being confused with the others in Google’s Knowledge Graph
  • Practice pages that described services instead of matching what injured people search for
  • No structured data telling search engines who the attorney is or what the firm does

After Gadgetlesstech

  • A clearly defined entity: one attorney, one firm, one office, stated the same way everywhere
  • A bottom-of-funnel sales page built around buyer-intent keywords
  • Attorney, LegalService, FAQ, Review, and Breadcrumb schema tying it all together
Attorney working at a desk

The client is a personal injury attorney practicing from a single Connecticut office, handling car, truck, and motorcycle accidents, dog bites, slip and falls, medical malpractice, wrongful death, and workers’ compensation claims across the surrounding towns. The firm holds a 4.9-star average across 88 Google reviews.

The Gadgetlesstech Approach

Solving the Name Collision

When four attorneys share a last name in one market, Google has to guess which one a searcher means. A wrong guess can send a potential client’s call, a review, or an AI recommendation to someone else’s firm.

We built an entity disambiguation strategy around the attorney’s full name, middle initial included. The firm name, office address, phone number, and practice focus appear the same way on every page and profile, and the site’s structured data spells out exactly who the attorney is and how he connects to the firm, so search engines stop treating him as one of several attorneys with the same name.

Result: a Google search for the attorney’s name now returns the firm’s own site first, with sitelinks and a knowledge panel for the firm. The top four results all point to him, and a similarly named firm sits at #6.

Matching What Injured People Search For

Someone hurt in a highway crash doesn’t search for “tort representation.” They search for a car accident lawyer near them, today. Using Edward Sturm’s compact keyword method, we built a bottom-of-funnel sales page around the short, high-intent phrases people use when they’re ready to hire.

The page answers the questions an injured person has before calling, explains how the firm works, and makes it easy to reach the office.

Structuring the Site for Search and AI

We added Attorney and LegalService schema, FAQPage markup, Review markup, and breadcrumbs across the site, so search engines and AI answer tools can read the firm’s details without guessing.

A cornerstone content structure ties the practice pages together: each focused page links up to its cornerstone and back, so authority flows to the pages that bring in cases.
