Tax Resolution SEO Case Study: How a South Florida Tax Firm Earned 16,000+ Google Impressions in One Quarter with Gadgetlesstech
This tax resolution SEO case study follows a founder-led tax resolution firm in South Florida that helps individuals and businesses across its county resolve IRS debt, audits, liens, and wage garnishments. Gadgetlesstech built the site, a set of city and service pages, and a knowledge center that answers the IRS questions people search when a letter shows up. In the first quarter of 2026 alone, the site appeared in Google search results more than 16,000 times across over 1,000 different searches.
1.9
Avg. position for its top local search
The Challenge
- A crowded local market, with national tax relief chains and other local firms competing for the same searches
- A firm name similar to unrelated national brands
- Clients spread across the county, well beyond the firm’s home city
Q1 2026 Results
- Top-three average positions for its core local tax attorney and tax resolution searches
- 62 pages earning Google impressions, from service pages to IRS notice guides
- New city pages ranking in neighboring towns
The client is a founder-led tax resolution firm serving individuals and businesses from a single office across its South Florida county. The firm handles offers in compromise, installment agreements, penalty abatement, audit representation, IRS appeals, innocent spouse relief, payroll tax issues, and unfiled returns.
The Gadgetlesstech Approach
Owning the Home City, Then Expanding Across the County
We started with the searches closest to home. Each core service got its own page built for the home city, from offer in compromise and installment agreements to penalty abatement and IRS appeals, each targeting one buyer-intent keyword so no two pages compete.
From there we built city pages for the neighboring towns where clients live, starting with three nearby cities.
Result: in Q1 2026, the firm’s first city-page search averaged position 3.9 with a 9.6% click-through rate, the firm’s highest-clicked search that quarter.
Answering the Letter Before the Call
Most people looking for tax help start by searching the notice in their hand. We built an IRS knowledge center around those moments: what a CP504 or CP2000 notice means, how wage garnishment works, when to call the Taxpayer Advocate Service, and how gambling winnings are taxed in Florida.
Each guide explains the problem in plain language and points to the matching service, so a reader who arrives worried leaves with a next step. The gambling winnings guide alone earned 4,746 impressions in Q1 2026.
Building an Entity Google Can Trust
Search engines and AI tools recommend businesses they can verify. We mapped the firm as a complete entity: the business, its founder, its address and phone number, its services, and the cities it serves, stated the same way across the site and the web.
That foundation also separates the firm from similarly named brands, so searches for the firm’s name lead to the right business.
